My Approach
A cornerstone of my practice is fostering a non-judgmental and accepting space where clients feel free to express themselves authentically. I draw on a range of therapeutic techniques and modalities, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual. I focus on fostering a strong relationship built on empathy, acceptance, and a touch of light humour with all clients.

Experience and Interests
I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan in private, public, and educational settings. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress management, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, grief and bereavement, low self-esteem, trauma, and OCD.

Therapeutic Modalities
I use an eclectic approach grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Exposure and Response Prevention (MB-ERP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy (ST), and Mindfulness.

Important Information

We understand that seeing a psychologist (especially for the first time!) can feel overwhelming. Here is some extra information about our services and the process of accessing support to prepare you for your first appointment:

  • The total cost of a session is $230.

Appointments after hours (i.e., before 9 am and after 5 pm or on weekends) will incur an additional fee of $20.

  • We have a 24-hour cancellation policy (excluding weekends and public holidays). Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients on our waiting list.

If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee of 50% of your session cost will apply. If no notice is provided and the appointment is missed, the full session fee (100%) will be charged.

  • You don’t need a referral to see a psychologist. However, if you would like to receive a Medicare rebate for your sessions, you will need to arrange for your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician to prepare a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

With a MHCP, you may be eligible for up to 10 Medicare-rebated consultations per calendar year. The Medicare rebate for each session is $96.65. Your Medicare claim will be processed following your session, and you should receive the rebated amount within 24–48 hours of processing.

If you don’t have a MHCP, private health insurance rebates may also be available. The rebate amount will vary depending on your provider and level of cover. You will be provided with a tax invoice to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes in duration. The first session typically involves exploring what has brought you to therapy, how these concerns are affecting your daily life, and any relevant background information (e.g., previous therapy experiences, family history, etc.). We conclude this session by working together to establish treatment goals.

  • At this time, we are unable to provide legal assessments or reports. When engaging our services, we request that you disclose any ongoing or upcoming legal proceedings. Our psychologists reserve the right to discontinue therapy if it is discovered that this information was intentionally withheld.

  • Please note, we are not provide a crisis response service. If you require crisis support, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or check in with your regular GP. In case of an emergency, please call 000 or attend your nearest hospital emergency department.
